JICA and Ghana's Ministry of Finance Sign Grant Agreement to Advance Human Resource Development Accra, Ghana – June 3, 2025 The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Ghana’s Ministry of Finance today solidified their ongoing partnership through the signing of a new Grant Agreement for the “Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship (JDS).” The ceremony, held at the Ministry of Finance, was officiated by Executive Senior Vice President of JICA, Ms. MIYAZAKI Katsura, and the Minister for Finance, Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson. The JDS program aims to empower young Ghanaian government officials by providing opportunities to pursue advanced academic degrees in Japan. It seeks to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to Ghana’s social and economic policy formulation and implementation.
